1. Why do you operate on a preorder-only model?
We operate exclusively on a preorder-only basis to eliminate the costs and inefficiencies associated with holding open inventory.
By sourcing products specifically against confirmed orders, we reduce storage costs, stock ageing, and surplus inventory. This allows us to pass these efficiencies on to our clients, typically resulting in pricing being lower than other European wholesalers.
Also we are able to offer the full range per brand as opposed to stockists who only will carry certain references from each brand.
This model is designed for professional buyers who plan inventory in advance rather than sourcing on an urgent or spot purchase basis.
2. What does “EU-clean” mean?
EU clean goods are products that are already in free circulation within the European Union.
This means:
- No customs duties within the EU
- Full compliance with EU regulations
- Predictable and smooth onward distribution across EU member states
Goods supplied by Platinum Trading meet these criteria.
3. What is your minimum order value (MOV)?
Our minimum order value is €5,000 per order
This threshold ensures the platform is used by professional wholesale buyers operating at scale, including distributors, wholesalers, retailers and established online sellers.
Orders below this value cannot be processed.
4. What is the delivery timeline?
The standard lead time is approximately 5–6 weeks, starting from confirmation of the required deposit.
This timeframe includes sourcing, coordination, preparation, and completion of the preorder process. Lead times are structured and predictable rather than dependent on daily stock availability.
5. When are preorders processed and sent for procurement?
Preorders are processed in structured monthly cycles
- Orders finalised before the 15th of the month are consolidated and sent for procurement on the 15th
- Orders between the 15th – 29th of the month are consolidated and sent for procurement on the 30th
This structure allows for coordinated sourcing, predictable lead times, and efficient wholesale planning.
6. Do you require a deposit?
A 15% deposit is required to confirm all preorders and initiate procurement.
The deposit secures your order within the applicable preorder cycle and allows us to proceed with authorised supplier sourcing.
7. Can I cancel my preorder?
Once the order has been placed we cannot cancel except if the delay in your order is over 2 weeks from the estimated time of delivery.
In this case you will have the option to cancel your order and we will refund the deposit back to you.
8. This is my first time buying from you can I use Escrow payment ?
Yes, you can use the Escrow services of our forwarders in the Netherlands. Any related Escrow charges will be on your account.
9. Are your products authentic?
All products supplied are 100% authentic and are sourced exclusively from:
- Authorised European distributors, or
- Directly from the brand itself
We do not source products from traders, secondary wholesalers, or non authorised channels.
